The Chicago Lakefront Trail is a 18-mile-long shared use path for walking jogging and cycling, located along the western shore of Lake Michigan in Chicago. With amazing views of the city’s world famous skyline and beautifully bright blue lake, you’ll love exploring this section of the city.
No one can deny that Chicago has beautiful architecture from timeless to modern buildings. In fact, the venue for DX Summit, the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, has won numerous architecture awards. Whether you’re just walking around and looking up or taking the famous architectural boat tours that stop right down the street from the conference, it’s an environment made to inspire.
The Chicago Water Tower serves as a Chicago Office of Tourism art gallery known as the City Gallery in the Historic Water Tower. It features the work of local photographers and artists, and filmmakers. It was one of the only buildings to survive the Great Chicago Fire in 1871, the Water Tower became a rallying point for the city. It stood as a symbol for a city determined to rise from its own ashes.
The Centennial Wheel is open year-round, Navy Pier’s Centennial Wheel is an iconic part of the Chicago skyline. Soaring to heights of nearly 200 feet, the Wheel offers visitors unparalleled, 360-degree views of Chicago and Lake Michigan.
We’re proud to feature local food and treats at DX Summit from our cheesy-caramel popcorn break (it’s great, promise!) to World’s Fair-inspired cupcakes. But the amount of amazing restaurants and bars around the conference might leave you stymied for choice when dinner time rolls around.
Food Trucks! You’ll encounter them all over downtown Chicago, so grab some shawarma or a Chicago Style hot dog to refuel while exploring the city!
The Chicago Riverwalk is an open, pedestrian waterfront located on the south bank of the Chicago River. While taking a stroll down the walk way, you’ll encounter a variety of cafe’s and restaurants to stop in for a cold beverage or nice meal by the water.
