Phil Kemelor is VP, Client Services for MaassMedia, a digital analytics consulting firm based in Philadelphia. Following a successful career in journalism, marketing and university research, Phil introduced himself to Internet technology and leveraged the technology to introduce editorial, marketing and customer service changes to the nation’s second largest subscription newsletter publisher in the mid-1990s. Since then, Phil has led the adoption of digital analytics at the largest telecommunications firm in the US, founded the professional services group at an Internet software startup, and developed new processes for corporate B2B web portal publishing. As one of the earliest proponents and advocates for the use of analytics to guide digital strategy and tactics, Phil authored The Executive’s Guide to Web Site Measurement and Testing, and was the lead analyst for the CMSWatch Web Analytics Report. Phil joined Semphonic, a boutique digital analytics practice in 2007 and developed the firm’s Washington, DC and strategy practice, that contributed to the firm’s acquisition by EY in 2013. In his current role at EY, Phil leads organizational transformation derived from the integration of digital analytics into enterprise business operations and processes.
